Some exciting news for Junior Handlers entered in Regionals!!

At the February Board meeting it was voted to to accept the recommendation from the National Steering Committee to change the qualifying score for Junior Handlers to be eligible to compete at the AAC National Championships from 350 points to 300 points. This is consistent with the points required for handlers entering their Regional Championships or the Pre-Qualifier event under the Accessibility Option.
You may or may not be aware that there is no specific Junior Handler category at Regionals (or Nationals). In this instance, Junior Handler refers to handlers that are 18 and under as of December 2024. The only change is that they are recognized as Juniors and will only need 300 points to qualify for Nationals. As with the Accessibility Option, there are no changes to scoring or judging.
