Hi! I have been a member of the club since 2003 and have been assisting and instructing classes since 2004. I have 2 dogs of my own. Cinch, who is a Border Collie cross, is now 13 yrs old and Boots is a 5 yr old Border Collie. I LOVE dogs! I think they are such special creatures.... truly our best friends. Because of my love for dogs I truly enjoy the sport of dog agility. For me, agility is not about competing in trial after trial and placing with qualifying runs in every event. Although that would be nice, to me it is a great way to spend some quality time with my dogs and build stronger bonds with them as well. My goal as an instructor is to not only teach you and your dog the fundamentals of the sport but to be able to work as a team on and off the agility field. There is so much we can learn from our dogs....we just need to learn to listen to them.

I have taught all levels of classes from puppy to advanced. No two dogs can be trained exactly the same and I love the challenge of finding that moment when handler and dog click and find the love in this sport that I have had for so long. I have also had the delight to train very different dogs from my cocker spaniel, to my two cavaliers and now my springer spaniel, each needing specific things from me in training. I am looking forward to starting a new adventure as an AAC Starter/Advanced judge. I can't wait to watch my students run my courses!

I started agility 6 years ago with my Border Terrier, Sophie. I have had many instructors and mentors who have shared their love of the sport with me and taught me some very helpful strategies to handle my best friend through the most challenging of courses. We (I) still have a lot to learn but if I can help others to love the sport half a much as I do, that would be a huge success! Always remember .... play hard and HAVE FUN!!

I have been a part of Flashing Canines Agility Team since 2013. Through agility, Maya (on my left) and I continue to grow our confidence and trust, not only in handling but in our relationship as well. We enjoy attending trials and seminars to further our knowledge as much as we can throughout the year. I love being a part of this team. Everyone is always so supportive both on and off the trial field. Digby (on my lap) is our newest family member of 2015. He is Maya's personal trainer, support team and travel companion.
